As a practical rule, avoid placing a wall directly in front of service panels or filter lids, and preserve a clear path to the equipment pad. Local electrical and gas requirements may also affect enclosure construction, so check before adding a permanent structure.
Equipment Check: Mark your clean filter pressure on the gauge or equipment cabinet. Clean the filter when pressure rises about 8 to 10 PSI above that number, then check for the cause of unusually fast dust loading.
Airflow is especially important around motors and heaters. Do not drape a tarp over running equipment, wrap the motor in insulation, or place storage bins beside the ventilation openings. Those quick fixes trap heat and can cause nuisance overloads or premature motor failure.
